Alena Kučerová is represented in the collections of Prague City Gallery by a high quality set of prints and matrices. This is mainly because Prague City Gallery organized Kučerová’s two major retrospectives in 1990 and 2007 and has closely followed her production. Kučerová’s Decoration consists of layered objects from about the last twelve years, in which used wood material serves as a background and together with older matrices or their fragments is recycled in new objects. This is also the case of old metal petals of flowers, which originally formed a part of one of the two versions of the Resting matrix of 1967.
