In the blue and white Antiphon, a horizontal composition with two vertical fields with circles from 2014, Milan Grygar followed up on his black-and-white Geometric Scores from 1993 – a series of five paintings for sonic realization based on the configuration of basic geometric forms of a square, a triangle, and a circle. In this Antiphon, Grygar utilizes the experience he has gained from the connections between the visual and the acoustic he has systematically explored since the mid-1960s, and demonstrates other analogical relations between the image, sound and space by which he brings his original concept to the present.
